WELCOME!

I am a graduate student at the University of Virginia studying to become a school counselor. I grew up in Richmond, VA, and I graduated from Christopher Newport University with a B.S. in Psychology. After graduation, I taught at the elementary level for 5 years in South Korea. This experience revealed that there is so much more to a student's education than just what happens inside the classroom. My desire to learn more about how to help students holistically led me here to UVA to study to be a school counselor.

This site serves as my school counseling portfolio, and you will find my beliefs about the importance of this profession, and how I can support academic achievement and student development for all students (ASCA National Model). This website will continue to change and fill up as I continue my studies in this program.

In the meantime, feel free to look through my website portfolio and contact me below for my resume or any further inquiries!

Best,

Kathleen An
